Burschenschaften sind eine tradierte Form einer Studentenverbindung. Sie finden sich heute an Hochschulorten in Deutschland, Österreich und Chile. Fast alle Burschenschaften bekennen sich zu den Prinzipien der Urburschenschaft von 1815, wobei der inhaltliche Bezug stark variiert. Die Bezeichnung ?Burschenschaft? wird heute von teilweise sehr unterschiedlichen Studentenverbindungen verwendet.
