Das Domkapitel , in der römisch-katholischen Kirche auch Kathedralkapitel, ist die Leitungskörperschaft einer Bischofskirche in administrativen und liturgischen Fragen. Im modernen kanonischen Recht sind sie die Geistlichen, zu deren Aufgaben die administrative und liturgische Leitung der Kathedralkirche gehören. Die in ein Kapitel gewählten Geistlichen heißen Kapitulare oder Domherren. Ist die Bischofskirche zugleich Metropolitansitz ist die Bezeichnung Metropolitankapitel, an einer Stiftskirche heißt das Äquivalent Stiftskapitel.
