Unter Entfernungsmessung, Abstandsmessung oder Längenmessung versteht man die Messung des Abstandes zweier Punkte im Raum durch direkten oder indirekten Vergleich mit einer Längenmaßeinheit wie beispielsweise dem Meter. Der Bereich möglicher Längen beginnt bei der sogenannten Planck-Länge von rund Meter. Das ist die kleinste Länge, in die sich der Raum einteilen lässt.
