Eine Indifferenzkurve ist eine mathematische Funktion, die in der Volkswirtschaftslehre und dort insbesondere in der Haushaltstheorie benutzt wird, um alle Gütermengenkombinationen darzustellen, zwischen denen ein Haushalt indifferent ist, die er also als gleich gut einschätzt. Sie basiert auf dem Konzept der Nutzenfunktion, welche jeder beliebigen Kombination von Gütermengen eine Zahl derart zuordnet, dass Güterkombinationen, die vom Haushalt für besser als andere befunden werden, eine höhere Zahl erhalten. Für jedes Nutzenniveau kann dann eine Indifferenzkurve gefunden werden, auf der alle Güterbündel liegen, die genau diesen Nutzen generieren.
