Eine Kleinpartei ist eine politische Partei, die nur eine relativ kleine Anhänger- beziehungsweise Wählerschaft besitzt und deren politischer Einfluss auf parlamentarischer Ebene entsprechend gering ist, sofern sie überhaupt in einem Parlament vertreten ist. Umgangssprachlich wird häufig der Begriff Splitterpartei verwendet, in der Fachliteratur wird er auf Grund seiner negativen Konnotationen nur noch selten gebraucht. Dort finden sich daneben unter anderem Begriffe wie nicht-etablierte oder seltener Minoritätenpartei. In der jüngeren Literatur wird inzwischen auch der Terminus Kleinstpartei benutzt.
