Die Menora ist ein siebenarmiger Leuchter, eines der wichtigsten religiösen Symbole des Judentums und wurde bei der Staatsgründung Israels in das Staatswappen aufgenommen. Die Menora hat ihre Ursprünge vermutlich in Babylonien und soll die Erleuchtung symbolisieren. Menora wird auch allgemein als Bezeichnung für einen Leuchter in Baumform benutzt.
