Unter einer Mischphase versteht man in der Thermodynamik eine homogene Phase, welche aus zwei oder mehreren Stoffen besteht. Gasförmige Mischphasen werden meist als Gasmischung, flüssige Mischphasen als Lösungen und feste Mischphasen als feste Lösungen oder Mischkristalle bezeichnet. Die Anteile der einzelnen Komponenten einer Mischphase können mit Hilfe des Stoffmengenanteils als partielle Größen angegeben werden. Das Temperatur- und Druckverhalten von Mischphasen wird daher in T-p-x-Phasendiagrammen dargestellt, wobei die Diagramme bei mehreren Stoffen mehrdimensional sind und damit vereinfacht dargestellt werden. Ändern sich die thermodynamischen Bedingungen des Systems in einer Weise, dass die Mischphase in eine Mischungslücke innerhalb des Phasendiagramms eintritt, so kommt es zu einer Entmischung, wobei diese vor allem bei Mineralen auch einen metastabilen Zustand zur Folge haben kann.
