Dort wird der Schaden oft durch Risse oder kraterähnliche Einsturztrichter sichtbar. Tagesbrüche treten in der Regel durch den Einsturz alter, nicht verfüllter Bergwerk­sstollen und -schächte auf und sind daher in Bergbauregionen besonders häufig.
