Zauberformel wurde die 1959 zustande gekommene parteipolitische Zusammensetzung der siebenköpfigen Schweizer Landesregierung nach der 2:2:2:1-Formel genannt. Die drei Parteien mit der grössten Parteistärke erhielten zwei, die mit der viertgrössten einen Sitz. Der Bundesrat bestand demnach aus je zwei Mitgliedern der Parteien FDP, CVP und SP sowie einem Mitglied der SVP . Die Zusammensetzung des Schweizer Bundesrates in dieser Form währte bis 2003. Danach wechselte ein Sitz der CVP zur SVP. Die neue Zusammensetzung der 2:2:2:1-Formel währte bis 2008. Die Zauberformel ist eine Form der Konkordanzregierung, diese wiederum ein Teil der Konkordanzdemokratie in der Schweiz.
