Das Abgrenzungsproblem, auch Demarkationsproblem genannt, fragt in der Wissenschaftstheorie von Karl Popper nach einem Kriterium, wonach Behauptungen der empirischen Wissenschaft unterschieden werden können von Aussagen der Logik, der Mathematik, der Metaphysik oder auch von Mythen. Popper schlägt vor, die Falsifizierbarkeit einer Aussage durch Basissätze als Abgrenzungskriterium zu wählen.
