Die Verletzung des Amtsgeheimnisses kann dienstrechtliche , arbeitsrechtliche und strafrechtliche Konsequenzen nach sich ziehen. Dem Amtsgeheimnis entspricht das Dienstgeheimnis der im Dienstverhältnis Stehenden. Sonderfälle des Amtsgeheimnisses sind weiterhin das Sozialgeheimnis und das Steuergeheimnis.
