Das Gefrierverfahren ist ein Verfahren, das zur Herstellung von künstlich gefrorenen Bodenkörpern dient. Im Bergbau wird das Verfahren beim Abteufen von Schächten angewandt. Das Verfahren wird auch Gefrierschachtverfahren genannt und Schächte, die mit diesem Verfahren hergestellt werden, nennt man im Bergbau Gefrierschächte.
