Ein Linienschiff ist ein historischer Typ von Kriegsschiffen. Dieser Schiffstyp war vom 17. Jahrhundert bis zum Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts in Gebrauch. Der Name entstand dadurch, dass diese Schiffe im Gefecht hintereinander in Kiellinie segelten.
