Lotpaste ist eine pastöse Mischung aus Lotmetallpulver und Flussmittel und dient vorwiegend zum Löten oberflächenmontierbarer Bauelemente in der Elektronikfertigung mittels Reflow-Löten. Weiterhin gibt es Lotpasten zum Hartlöten auf der Basis von KupferZink und Silber und zum Widerstandslöten. Zum SMD-Löten in der Elektronikfertigung geeignete Lotpaste besteht zum Beispiel zu ca. 90 % aus Kügelchen einer Zinnlegierung und zu ca. 10 Prozent aus Flussmittel. Die Prozente beziehen sich dabei allerdings auf die Masseprozente. Die Volumenprozente teilen sich gleichmäßig auf 50 % zu 50 % auf. Bleifreie Lotpaste besteht zum Beispiel aus 96,5 % Sn ; 3,0 % Ag und 0,5 % Cu.
