Als Spiegelreflexkamera oder verkürzt SR-Kamera bezeichnet man einen Fotoapparat, bei dem sich zwischen Objektiv und Bildebene ein wegklappbarer Spiegel befindet. Das Bild wird vor der Aufnahme auf einer in der Regel horizontal liegenden Mattscheibe seitenverkehrt abgebildet. Bei älteren Kameras wird es dort von oben blickend entweder direkt oder mit Hilfe einer Lupe betrachtet. Später kamen Prismensucher in Gebrauch, mit deren Hilfe das Bild seitenrichtig und horizontal beziehungsweise parallel zur optischen Achse der Kamera durch ein Okular blickend sichtbar ist.
