Ein Sprungtuch ist ein Sprungrettungsgerät der Feuerwehr. Es kommt im Notfall zum Einsatz, wenn Personen zu springen drohen ? der klassische Fall ist hierbei der Sprung aus dem Fenster eines brennenden Hauses ? oder aus sonstigen Gründen absturzgefährdet sind. Das bei der Feuerwehr in Deutschland verwendete Sprungtuch ist nach DIN 14151-1:2004-08 und DIN 14151-2:2004-08 genormt. Ein Sprungtuch kommt nur dann zum Einsatz, wenn keine andere Möglichkeit besteht, die betreffende Person aus der Gefahrensituation zu retten, d. h. beispielsweise weder der Einsatz einer Drehleiter noch von tragbaren Leitern ist möglich, noch stehen alternative Rettungswege zur Verfügung.
